I was asked to mend a piece of clothing using the Japanese mending style of Sashiko. This is a process which does not try to hide the original hole but rather highlight it.

I was asked to create a print that was inspired by the design principle: balance. I was inspired by the assymetrical balance of stacked rocks found on nature trails, as well as the radial lines formed in water.

I was asked to take inspiration from the print I had made based on the design principle of balance and apply it to an interior space. I chose to look at my original print as a floorplan, creating a space with curved walls and radial carpet.
